2022 - 2023 Comfort For Learning Sweatshirts - GMMS 

Ten (10) Rotarians from the Rotary Club of LaPlace distributed Comfort for Learning Sweatshirts to 38 Garyville/Mt. Airy Magnet Elementary 4th Grade Students on Thursday October 20, 2022.  The Rotary District 6840 Grant Committee contributed an amount of $175.00 from the Rotary Foundation.  The Rotary Club of LaPlace contributed the balance of $319.00.  The total cost of the year service project was $494.00.  Each year the Rotary Club of LaPlace furnishes sweatshirts to the 4th Grade Students in 1 of 6 St. John The Baptist Parish Public Elementary Schools.  The school logo and the Rotary International logo are on each sweatshirt.  Rotarians contact the school to obtain sweatshirt numbers and sizes of the 4th grade students.  The sweatshirts are ordered, sorted, delivered and distributed to the students by the Rotarians in the early fall or winter season.  Thank you to ASAP Monograms for purchasing and screening the sweatshirts!  Thank you to the Rotary International District 6840 Grant Committee and the Rotary Club of LaPlace for providing the Comfort for Learning Service Project funding!
